Pediatric Occupational and Speech and Language Therapy Services
Services Provided: We provide comprehensive evaluations of children ages 0-14 with a variety of diagnoses including but not limited to Developmental Delays, Communication Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sensory Processing Disorders, Executive Function Dysfunction and other neurological/developmental disabilities.
Assessments in the areas of: Sensory processing; ocular motor control; postural control/stability; motor coordination; visual perception; visual motor skills; executive function; expressive and receptive language, articulation, pragmatic language skills, and communication,
Treatment/Consultation in the areas of: sensory processing disorders; receptive and expressive language disorders; articulation; functional communication; executive function deficits; motor incoordination; visual perception/visual motor deficits; handwriting; assistive technology
Materials Developed: hand-outs, forms, and strategies developed for students to support and facilitate their performance while ultimately building independence; hand-outs, forms and strategies to be used by caregivers and service providers to streamline the delivery of therapeutic services
Workshops/lectures/webinars/ graduate level courses presented nationally to parents, caregivers, teachers, daycare providers, paraprofessionals, therapists and other professionals in the areas of sensory processing, communication and motor development; “Learning is Child’s Play”; “Sensory Diet for the Classroom”; “Executive Functioning for Successful Students”; “Building Blocks for Learning” and “Practical and Effective Strategies to Improve Self-Regulation and Executive Functioning Skills”.
Where services are provided: Homes, schools, community settings such as daycare centers in the metro west, north and south of Boston.
When: After school, evenings, weekends, school vacations, summer
