Pediatric Occupational Therapy, and Speech/Language Therapy,

Social-Emotional/Psychological, and Academic Supports

Services Provided: We provide direct service as needed for children ages 0-14 with a variety of diagnoses including, but not limited, to Developmental Delays, Communication Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sensory Processing Disorders, Executive Function Dysfunction, and other neurological/developmental disabilities.

Assessments might include areas of:  sensory processing, self regulation, social/emotional skills, ocular motor control, postural control/stability, fine motor coordination, visual perception, visual motor skills, executive function, expressive and receptive language, articulation, pragmatic language skills, communication, literacy and/or math.

Consultation for delays in the areas of: sensory processing; self-regulation; social-emotional skills; ocular motor control; postural control/stability; fine motor coordination; visual perception/visual motor; executive function; poor handwriting; receptive and expressive language; articulation; functional communication; literacy and/or math.

Individualized treatment may include: checklists and surveys to determine the child’s social-emotional skills and learning style; strategies for making home/school environment conducive for learning; strategies for improving organization; strategies to improve homework skills; test taking skills and long term projects. Interactive activities, specific exercises, and recommendations for (low to high) assistive technology will also be used to foster skill development. In addition, accommodations will be recommended to facilitate success in school.

Workshops/lectures/webinars/graduate level courses are presented nationally and locally upon request to parents, caregivers, teachers, daycare providers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and other professionals in the areas of self-regulation, communication and motor development. Topics include: “Learning is Child’s Play”; “Sensory Diet for the Classroom”; “Executive Functioning for Successful Students”; “Building Blocks for Learning” and “Practical and Effective Strategies to Improve Self-Regulation and Executive Functioning Skills”.

Where services are provided: homes, schools, community settings such as daycare centers in the metro west area, north, and south of Boston.

When: after school, evenings, weekends, school vacations, and summer.

Cost: fee for service; rates are established by each individual practioner and available upon request
